Local buisness could donate the cost of printing and in return the get a free add. I feel its good way to get the fliers made and then members can hand them out, or place a stack on a counter or pin it on a bullitin board. Does anyone have a problem with this?

Please do not alter the flyer in any way before distribution.

Ok, is there any reason for this, I'm not trying to go against anyones wishes but I think we could get thounds printed for free in lu of the buisness card being placed on the back of the flier. If JOE THE PLUMBER sponserd It would say something along the lines of, SPONSERD BY: JOE THE PLUMBER
1001 u name it
ANYWHERE, PA

I see these types of things on free targets that are handed out at gun shows, I also dont see how it is any different that selling ad space on this site. Just a thought. I havent approached anyone about this yet. Just shooting out ideas for feed back. A local printing press in my area would probally be more than happy to print them for free if we added "PRINTED BY: XYZ PRINTING AND PUBLISHING (xxx)xxx-xxxx"

RE: A couple Ideas...
It may be an idea worthy of investigation. Entering into such a proposition would require both parties to take the risk of being damaged by some association with the other.

Also, any such modifications must be done only by the owners of the pamphlet design, and not by individuals in their local community who happened to find a "sponsor." This site is already at some risk from those who would act ignorantly, or in a manner inconsistent with the law, then wave the pamphlet as proof of "their rights" (thus the disclaimers already included). Adding additional parties only compounds that risk.

At least for now, it's probably best to stick with the donor system we have in place - where folks donate because they believe in the cause, not for what they get in return.

RE: A couple Ideas...
Another problem I see with sponsors is the very large possibility that people could get the wrong idea about our intentions/purpose if there was advertising on the flyer. We're a grass roots movement trying to educate the public on firearms laws and rights and counter misconceptions that have become accepted as common knowledge simply because they've been repeated over and over, but having advertising on the flyers could give the impression that we're looking to make money and just pretending to be a grassroots movement.

I can see your points, but it still is an idea that could help in the future. What is the opinion of the flier crator/ designer?

I'm an admin here, and second in command within Pennsylvania Open Carry. I can speak for the owner of this site (who is also the author of the flyer).

I fully understand the points being made, I was asking that in response to the above. Please don't take offense.

I am a strong supporter of the 2nd, and open carry, and this site which supports it. Just trying to help out the cause. I feel there are too many sideline supporters whos intentions may be true and well, but they never do anything to back up what they say they support. Too much "I'll help out, tommrow, that is if I'm not busy."

Just trying to help where I can.
