Anyone OC in the Lewisburg area?
Hello everyone, this is my first post so let me just introduce myself as a Connecticut resident who goes to school in PA and resides in Lewisburg while at school. Obviously I cannot carry on school grounds, courts, post office, or any of the other listed no-fly zones. At this point I only have a CT Carry permit though (in the process of getting FL) so for now I plan on OC. I just ordered a Blackhawk Serpa LII because I want some retention. To get to the point though I was curious if anyone has had any experiences with local LEOs in my area. I have been reviewing the PA laws as well as the OC Logs and Incident reports and haven't found too much information about anyone OC in this area. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I'm not able to help you with the local LEOs, but I will say "welcome to PAOC!"

Here's a question for the masses, does a CO-Operative Preschool count as an off limits zone? The law states secondary and elementary school what about this one which in particular is based out of a church?

Thanks,
-S

K-12 certified with the state, if I recall... I'm sure someone who knows better will be along shortly.

Being a church wouldn't matter. The sticky point is when the school is out of session. I would argue that it turns back into a church. Some may argue differently.

EDIT: Removed what I now believe was incorrect information. I had misread a key part of exception 11.

Actually, I believe that I fall under exception number 11, because I have a CT permit. CC is still off but I believe I can open carry with my CT license in a vehicle, correct?

http://paopencarry.org/pa-firearm-law-ss6106

"Any person while carrying a firearm in any vehicle, which person possesses a valid and lawfully issued license for that firearm which has been issued under the laws of the United States or any other state."
