My Uncle owns the Shooter shop in Philadelphia and he needs the support of PAopencarry!
Well, it seems they are back.
If you haven't been following the thread -Head's UP ! B.Miller and Heeding God's Call planning new gun shop protests !(on pafoa.org) By my friend Son of the Revolution. A group going by the name Heeding gods call and the Simple way, are trying to have gun shops sign a 10 point code of conduct created by Mayor Bloomberg himself and Mayors against illegal guns.

RESPONSIBLE FIREARMS RETAILER PARTNERSHIP:
A 10-POINT VOLUNTARY CODE
The 10 points of the Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership are:
1. Videotaping the Point of Sale for All Firearms Transactions. Participating retailers will videotape the point-of-sale of all firearms transactions and maintain videos for 6 months to deter illegal purchases and monitor employees
2. 2. Computerized Prime Gun Trace Log and Alert System. Maors Against Illegal Guns will develop a computerized system that participating retailers will implement over time to log crime gun traces relating to the retailer. Once the program is in place, if a customer who has a prior trace at that retailer attempts to purchase a firearm, the sale will be electronically flagged. The retailer would have discretion to proceed with the sale or stop the sale.
3. 3. Purchaser Declaration. For sales flagged by the trace alert system, participating retailers will ask purchasers to fill out a declaration indicating that they meet the legal requirement to purchase the firearm.
4. 4. Deterring Fake IDs. Participating retailers will only accept valid federal- or state-issued picture IDs as primary identification. Retailers will utilize additional ID checking mechanisms.
5. 5. Consistent Visible Signage. Participating retailers will post signage created by the Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership to alert customers of their legal responsibilities at the point-of-sale.
6. 6. Employee Background Checks. Participating retailers will conduct criminal background checks for all employees selling or handling firearms.
7. 7. Employee Responsibility Training. Participating retailers will participate in an employee responsibility training program focused on deterring illegal purchasers. The Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership will create an online training system based on Wal-Mart´s training program
8. 8. Inventory Checking. Participating retailers will conduct daily and quarterly audits. Guidelines will be based on Wal-Mart´s existing audit procedures.
9. 9. No Sales Without Background Check Results. Participating retailers would prohibit sales based on "default proceeds," which are permitted by law when background check has not returned a result within 3 days.
10. 10. Securing Firearms. Participating retailers will maintain firearms kept in customer accessible areas in locked cases or locked racks.
While most of these items are already in place, The shop has a major issue with #2, which is creating an illegal database. This would have gun shops commiting a felony since the federal court has already ruled that a database would be illegal. In addition it would open up shop owners to civil lawsuits. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a religious group having my personal information, what are they planning on doing with it. Protest in front of my house?? What guns I own and how many is between me and the ATF and my family.
The shop and members of PAFOA met with these groups on Feb 20th, 2010. They were quite shocked that they were met with any resistance. SURPRISE!! Lol But this time we need your help. SOTR and CRLOVEL where key people in presenting the facts and disbuting anything they threw at us. SOTR was greated by a round of applause from all of the supporters at the shop.
Now the shop and the 2nd amendment needs your help. PLEASE, if you are in the area stop by and show your support, We need to represent the Gun owners of american and the 2A. (please don’t think you need to buy anything from the store, that is not what this is about ) All the shop is asking is to wave your flag high (the shop will be giving out flags that day) and join us for a day of reflecting on the our great country and our Consitituanl rights!!

Heeding Gods call has not posted that they will be at the shop on the 2nd. But we have a feeling, if history repeats itself. They will be there. We have bombarded they with posts on their facebook and every other forum. I think they are spreading info word of mouth and might just show up early. So if you’re in the neighborhood early please stop by and hang out. There will be light refreshments.
