Evening All...
Well I won't be doing any OC as I visited the Sheriff today and my concealed permit was ready, so I picked it up.

The main purpose for my thread is to ask 2 questions that some of you may be able to answer.

Ok, here goes;

1. I am in Matamoras. Is anyone aware of any indoor ranges in the area that I could go and do some shootin'? I got my SW Sigma and have not even fired one single round through it. Plus I am missin' the ol' gunpowder smell I used to get all the time at the military ranges in California.

2. Anyone aware of any, or have any "ins" at any federal or state law enforcement agencies? I have been out of the Corps for 2 months and still jobless. Getting a little antsy and bored. I know this might be a longshot but it's all about networking and getting the word out to as many as will listen.

I just found out today that having a VA rating of 30% makes me a special disabled veteran. I was not aware of that...but all in all not bad news I guess.

Thanks in advance for any/all info you guys provide!!!

-Nate

It is not a "concealed permit". It is a Liscense To Carry Firearms which, among others, allows one to carry concealed. I'm not a LTCF"nazi", but it does need to be used in it's proper context for everyone to be able to understand it true meaning. With that out of the way, why won't you be doing any OC?

As to the rest, I'm afraid I can't help you with that.

This line confuses me. Did the sheriff say that you can't OC now that you have an LTCF? Or do you think that having an LTCF means you have to CC from now on?

Either way, it's false.

RE: Evening All...
the only way to get an "in" is to go to your local PD/sheriff's dept/state trooper barracks, and ask them. they'll tell you to apply to the academy.
