Help Us Move This Site Up In The Rankings - Links
OK, I have been working on a 'plan' to get the rankings through the roof on this site and plan to put a whole lot of my SEO voodoo into play.
I'm giving away some 'trade secrets' here but I'm sure we can keep this between 'us girls'. I am targeting several key phrases here: PA Open Carry Pennsylvania Open Carry PA Gun Law(s) Pennsylvania Gun Law(s) PA Firearm Laws Pennsylvania Firearm Law(s) Pa Gun Rights Pennsylvania Gun Rights (and yes I am attempting to take on the 800 pound gorilla in the room, that will remain nameless, with some of those terms.) If everyone can use the following examples whenever they link to this site it will help out big time: ******************************************************************************** *** Whenever linking to one of the law pages on the main site: example: Code: pa firearm law ss6106Notice the title attribute in that link, VERY important. Also with the above example switch between 'pa firearm law ss6106' in the title attribute and the link text (the part people see) from pa to Pennsylvania e.g. 'Pennsylvania firearm law ss6106' You can also rotate between 'firearm' and 'gun' in the title attribute and the link text so we build links (and rankings) on both terms ******************************************************************************** *** When linking to any of the case law pages: example: Code: PA Firearm Case Law Ortiz V CommonwealthHere again you can switch between PA / Pennsylvania and Firearm / Gun in both the title attribute of the hyperlink and the link text ******************************************************************************** ***** Linking to the UFA: Code: PA Uniform Firearms ActAnd once again you should rotate between the PA and Pennsylvania in the title attribute and the link text ******************************************************************************** ****** Linking to any other informational page from the main site: example (the news page): Code: PA Open Carry Newsand not to be boring but switch the PA to Pennsylvania every other link ******************************************************************************** ****** If you are linking to the forum (or a post in the forum): Code: PA Open Carry Firearm ForumHere you want to rotate between 'firearm' / 'gun' and 'PA' / 'Pennsylvania' None of this BTW works on forum software because it has its own way of making links (still working on a hack for that) but from other websites it works flawlessly. Using this link methodology (and with what I have already built into the site) we will be able to beat the crap out of the Google rankings, trust me I do this for a living and I know it works! Links build rankings and traffic BUT links done properly build AMAZING rankings and traffic! web application / web design / database development |

RE: Help Us Move This Site Up In The Rankings - Links
I had some requests on how to link directly to some of the other documents stored here, such as the 'rights flier' so here ya go:
Code: pa gun rights flierCode: pa gun rights training memoAs far as the business cards go (the no guns - no money ones) it would probably be best to link to the page, not directly to the Word doc or PDF! Linking to them directly wont help the sites rankings or PR so to link to that do this: Code: pa gun rights no guns no money cardsweb application / web design / database development |

RE: Help Us Move This Site Up In The Rankings - Links
There's been a little confusion by some people about how to use the links above.
The code shown above is to be used when you are building a website or adding a link to an existing website but there is one notable exception, a forum. If you are trying to add a link from a forum use the link icon when you post and then use ONLY the URL part of the links above. For instance if you wanted to link to the gun rights flier you would only use this part: Code: http://paopencarry.org/pdfs/Pennsylvania_Gun_Rights.pdfForum software has its own way of handling links and trying to use the normal HTML link code I have provided above will make that software choke. You can use the keywords mentioned above though. For instance in your forum post add the words "Pa Gun Rights Flier" then highlight the text, then click the link insertion icon and add the link above in the popup. The forum software will handle the actual link while the text that is visible in your post contains the proper keywords. Like this: Pa Gun Rights Flier Hope that clears this up. web application / web design / database development |
