Holsters
Hi everyone, I'm new. Great sight! Lots of good info.
I have a couple of questions if anyone can help me out. I have a Springfield 40 Cal XDM. The holster that came with it is OK but I would like to get someting that is more comfortable and has a snap to sucure it better for OC. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would also like to get a holster to cary it concealed. Any suggestions on that too? Thanks. |

im a big fan of desantis 3 slot holsters. Very comfortable and can be adjusted for tension.

RE: Holsters
Also a fan of the DeSantis Thumb Break 3 slot. Like the durability, adjustable tension, and price.

RE: Holsters
I like the Blackhawk Serpa holsters. I don't know if the one listed for the XD also fits the XD-m, but if you find one in a local store I'm sure you could try it out.

RE: Holsters
I like the Blackhawk Serpa as well for my two guns. You can get them with a Belt or Paddle backing plate. I think they come with both now. I prefer the belt style.
I also have a High Noon "tuckable" tailgater that I like a lot ‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.’’ — Thomas Jefferson http://paguncarry.wordpress.com/ |

RE: Holsters
my second choice for holster is my el-cheapo uncle mikes sidekick horrizontal sholder rig. It performs well and has formed great to my back. It also has straps the connect to your belt to help keep it in place.

It's a great holster but I perfer the DeSantis. I would have absolutely no problem using the Blackhawk Serpa.

Try the Desantis speed scabbard. Same as 3 slot with no thumb break An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject: Unknown |

RE: Holsters
I might be kind of late jumping on this thread but here's my two cents...
The Blackhawk Serpa is great for the price. I like mine for my XDm. (The regular XD version fits it!) So far it's only seen range use. I should throw the one that came with the XD away since I'll never use it and there's no retention. I recommend a Comp-Tac MTAC IWB holster for CC. I have one and love it. People on the XD forum also love it. The Crossbreed Supertuck is also popular with them.

RE: Holsters
I don't have the MTAC, but I do have its sister the CTAC for my Taurus PT140 and I love it. For a bigger gun I'd definitely want the MTAC though.
